The mods asked if anyone is there. A bot went offline in solidarity.

Moderators of the official Discord for a famously rude cartoon have shut it down, citing months of silence from the studio and parent company. The gap between messages was reportedly as long as six months, a speed that would have been considered slow even for a goat. A moderation bot also went offline after a policy update, in what sources describe as a "tasteful exit".
The mods said they blame, in part, a corporate merger. "We were never really sure who we worked for," said one, "but now we are sure it is no one." They described the experience as being a lighthouse keeper in a lighthouse that has been quietly sold to a company that sells lamps.
Fans were sympathetic, then outraged, then ready to be sympathetic again. "It's a cartoon that mocks corporations," said one, "and a corporation has accidentally become the best episode." Another suggested the server should be preserved as a museum piece, where visitors can read a pinned message from 2022.
The company issued no statement, which, given the circumstances, was seen as consistent with the situation. A spokesperson would have been hired for the purpose, but there was no response to the job listing. The listing was, on closer inspection, posted in the same Discord.
The writers of the cartoon are expected to turn the event into a plot. Insiders say that an upcoming episode will feature four boys who find a locked server and try to reopen it with a password they believe is "password". It will be called "Moderation", and will probably be removed, by a bot, that is offline.
