GAMING · DAILY SLOP
The principle, per our sources, is thirty million of them.

A well-known leaker of a much-awaited crime game has announced that they will not release the full build after all, because their coin did not reach a market value of thirty million dollars. They denied that the coin project was a rug pull, which people on the internet greeted by saying, in unison, "that is what a rug pull would say".
The leaker's statement, posted in the style of a hostage note written by an accountant, said that the people had spoken and the people had not paid. The post then thanked "the community", defined as the nine people who bought in, and offered to continue the journey "in spirit".
Fans were divided. Some saw this as an act of integrity, the first in the history of leaks. Others noted that if a rumour requires a price target, it is no longer a leak but a subscription service with a coat on. A small group said they were fine, because they never wanted the leak and just liked reading the drama.
Meanwhile, the studio responsible for the game declined to comment. A source inside the company noted that the best response to a leaker is to continue working and to also continue not announcing anything, which they have mastered with remarkable discipline for years.
At press time the coin was reportedly worth the price of a sandwich, and the leaker was said to be "taking time away to reflect". Experts predict an early return, following a stirring video titled "THE LEAKS ARE BACK (BUT HONESTLY)".
